An old money style engagement session

Sophie's one request for her engagement session was that it would have a vintage, old-money feel. After some location scouting I came across the historic landmark center in St. Paul, Minnesota and knew it was the perfect spot. The architecture is stunning, the interior is timeless, and the hidden stairways and gorgeous open ceiling made for a wide variety of spots to tuck away and give these two a moment to just enjoy each other in a beautiful setting. Anyone and everyone should find an excuse to dress up and go back in time to a place like this. 

One of the reasons I love doing an engagement session with all of my couples before their wedding is the opportunity to collaborate on something like this. Getting to discover what Sophie and Trevor love, learning more about the ways they love each other, and having some extra time before their wedding to just hang out with them was so crucial. All three of us will be showing up on wedding day comfortable with each other, having some practice in front of the lens, and ready to be in a safe and open environment to create art that is honest and true to both of them.
