A beautiful sunset, stone-fired pizza made by the groomsmen, and a gorgeous backyard dinner looking over the lake... there truly is nothing better.
I met Lydia just about a year prior to her dress rehearsal. She was a model for a branding session I was shooting and we were chatting about how excited she was to (hopefully) get engaged in the near future. You could feel her excitement and peace in every word about how much she loves Nicholas and how ready she was to be a fiancé. Fast forward a few months, I actually squealed out loud in the coffee shop I was editing in when I came across her engagement announcement. Funny enough, I got the opportunity to shoot another branding session that ended up being Lydia's actual hair and makeup trial for her wedding!
The stars aligned for us and Lydia reached out not too long before her big day asking if I would be open to stepping into her intimate dress rehearsal and capturing some private moments between herself, Nick, and their closest friends and family. There was no hesitation. I said yes in an instant and wow... this night was so special. I took a few moments to shed some tears with Lydia over the bittersweet farewell to life before forever and an overwhelming joy over the most beautiful chapter of her life to come.
Let's normalize hiring photographers for dress rehearsals.
